what do you all consider the best media player to use today? I've used real one player and the microsoft one... what do you think is the best out there for mp3 and all other music and video media???

I have have XP Pro, and I have MusicMatch, I like that very much, for my music, I haven't played with it to see what else it can do.

For Movie Clips, that I download, I use Window Media Player. I had to download "Divx505Bundle" and now it playes great.

I know others might have something better that you might like, but this is what I'm using, and I think there great.

ahh real one is evil... go with 8, last good version before it went down the crapper!! j'ai deteste!

well I use winamp3.....and its never let me down. music [mp3..wav,.midi, video clips] and v3 has a nice feature to fade out/in your playlist while you listen....and a cool lightshow [think mediaplayer has this too]

Winamp 2.9x is the most superior of all media players.

Supports all audio formats that I have ever come across.

Has support for video, but its not really a video player, I would recommend WMP for vids.

I use WinAmp version 5 for audio. I found v3 too slow to startup and version 2 lacking in some features. Version 5 has the best of versions 2 & version 3 .... (2+3=5 you see, they skipped v4 entirely)

And I use Windows Media Player version 9 for all movie files and DVDs.

i must say tho, with my ipod, just realised how muc iTunes rocks.

I've always used WinAmp ("Kicks the Lama's Butt") for MP3s. I still prefer using the old windows SoundRecorder for playback of .wav files, especially the small system ones, since it opens so quickly and then closes when finished. I've been through many video players, and was rather impressed with the ULead DVD player, until I installed the version 5.03 of WinAmp Pro. It is by far the best video player I've used yet. Simple, fast, low overhead.

well winamp 5 is good.Jetaudio is another good aoption.
but media player 10 is awesome is much improved player hands up to all ms guys..

I have JetAudio Pro and that is a good prog. Most of the time I just use Creative Playcenter tho.

i use windows media only because its the fastest loading one. other than that...winamp. it supports more formats.
