Hi, When I have asked a question I click the option that lets me get email whenever someone replies. The problem is, now I email notification for something that is totally unrelated to what/where I entered my question. I wouuld appreicate it if someone could tell me how to stop getting notifications for things unrelated to anything I've said.

Did you subscribe to a forum instead of subscribing to a topic? If you subscribed to a forum, you'll be notified of any new topic started in that forum. To manage your subscriptions, click 'Controls' (above center), then look to the left and see 'View Topics', and 'View Forums'. Click whichever applies to have the option to unsubscribe.
