Recently Microsoft was forced to pull a misleading ad and received much ridicule after posting an advertisement claiming to make hackers obsolete. This advertisement was published in the November issue of Time magazine and tech digest ITWeb Brainstorm, featured three extinct animals--a dodo, a wooly mammoth and a saber-tooted tiger as well as a caricature of a hacker.

"Microsoft software is carefully designed to keep your company's valuable information in, and unauthorised people and viruses out. Which means that your data couldn't really be safer, even if you kept it in a safe. Which is great news for the survival of your company. But tragic news for hackers."

Hmm....I wonder if they remember what happened only two months ago. wink.gif

Despite efforts to close security vulnerabilities in their Windows operatiing system, Microsoft has been forced to issue almost weekly patches to it's software.
