She's a miniature dachshund and she likes staying in the house with me and I let her because it's been so hot here, but since September came in it's not as humid and therefore does not feel as hot so I put her outside for this morning. I have not heard a peep (bark) from her so I know she is enjoying being outside. I have to teach her that she belongs outside part of the time. She thinks that she belongs inside all the time. lol.gif

Mrs. Bond...may or may not be Mrs. Ahh you have my sparked my interest. Oh what the heck you may never have made it legal. lol.gif If that is the case, you shouldn't let him off the hook. biggrin.gif

at the beginning of the quote do this [ quote ] at the end do this [ /quote ] I have spaces between the brackets and the word...don't put them in.

The newer board software has where you can push a quote button in how ever many posts you want to quote from and then when you hit the reply button all the quotes will be in your post. It is a very nice feature.

Hi Marcia,

Thanks for your help re two quotes in one reply. I see you have edited your answer since I looked a few minutes ago. Your second remark is the one I was trying to do, but I couldn't get it to work.

I did the first one in response to a "quote" by Zenith and it was OK. But then when I went back to your post to pick up a (second) "quote" from there, and came back to my own original reply draft, it was gone. I guess I don't understand how to keep my original reply "open" (so to speak) while I go gathering a second "quote". I suppose it doesn't really matter as it would be a shot in the dark that that would happen again. But I was just curious.

I *think* what you're saying in your answer here is that you go thru and gather all the "quotes" you want first and then hit "Reply". ??? I can't get that to work either tho as clicking on the very first "Quote" button automatically takes me to a "Reply" box . . . it doesn't wait for me to choose "Reply". smiley- confused.gif

EDIT: (Sorry for "having a conversation" in the GAME category. I know that's probably against the rules. I apologize and promise it won't happen again.)
Marcia
You can't do the gathering of quotes here on SAF because it is older board software. It comes with the newer version of Invision board software.

If I want to quote from something someone said I select and copy what they said and put it in the reply box I am typing a reply in with the quotes the way I explained before and after what they said. I leave my reply box open and scroll down to look at the previous replies I want to quote from.
