At a forum that I visit here certain threads are trying to give me odd cookies. The cookies are not from the forums. Ive scanned my PC for virus' and spyware (updated definitions for both) and its come up clean. So where could these cookies be coming from? I believe I am the only one getting them, so its got to be me... right? Here is the information that IE5.5 gives when Im prompted for the cookies. They come from this page and this page respectively. (Note you wont be able to access the forum pages unless you are a registered user.) Its a regular occurence when I visit these pages and only happens on these pages.

Any thoughts on this?

Seem like normal sites. One's an ISP and the other may be (I can't tell, it's in spanish or something). Don't worry about viruses...you can't catch 'em from a cookie. If it's that much of a concern, use a cookie controller proggie. There's links in the Utilities subsection of this forum.

Im not too worried about them as I can just deny them. I rarely end up with a cookie I dont want. But it bothers me because I dont know why I am getting these cookies? And how? They arent coming from the forum, they arent my ISP and blah...

I think what is causing that are avatars sitting on off-site servers which set a session cookie for whatever reason. There is also a bug in Internet Explorer 6 that makes it "look like" cookies are being set when they aren't. Stupid thing hits on images from my site sometimes and I don't set cookies.
