SecureNet Service has reported that Windows XP's WLAN feature may disclose information about registered access points information. SSID values assigned to registered access points may be disclosed to remote users. This is because Windows XP hosts will continue to send out probe requests containing information to previously registered access points that are no longer available and could permit a remote user to obtain information about a previously registered access point by monitoring the network.
