Hi Lorraine wavey.gif

Hopefully Zenith will drop by and tell us what "absale" means. I couldn't find it in any of my dictionaries nor in Webster's Online.

However, Internet searching tells me that Absale was a common surname in England during the 1800's.

How about it Zenith? Help us girls out so we'll know. biggrin.gif

Playing off Lorraine's "buy" ~ ~ ~ I'll go with "purchase".

Did I rouse you curiosity? That was the plan smile.gif
To answer your question yes it was a surname from the late 1700s and was in the US and England maybe more places if you care to keep researching but I think you may have had enough.
