I like Coldplay...I haven't heard that song, but since I have green eyes I would like to hear what it says. I guess I will go and see if I can at least find the lyrics.

Good choice, Skysoldier!
Bluegrass (of course) on
WOBO-FM. Monday thru Saturday, 8-noon and Thursday 8-midnight. (EST)
BTW-
Live365.com has over 10,000 streaming stations, and it's free or pay (for some extras)! The bluegrass list is around 200 at the moment.

Jim, thanks for the links but so far all I have tried are "free trial" so I just stay with the XM radio I have in the PU and here at home. Before I got this new HP Media center I got XM on my (gave to grand childern) older Gateway XP Home. I am trying to get them to fix that now . But it is an on and off again situation. They say remove my IE browser and re install
it. I went for the newer IE 7.0 browser and lucky I had made a restore point. So I send them e-mail about once a week requesting help.

Mozart's Requiem Mass. Man, talk about deep music. Sheeeze, the guy was a freakin' genius. There are so many solo voices, choir and a full scale symphony orchestra all going at the same time... How on earth did he keep it all together in his head until he got it down on paper?? I have been taught that they have the original, complete scores that he conducted from - not one erasure or changed note. Not one in hundreds of pages. And I think I'm great when I can figure out one computer problem in the form.

A database of music that plays only what you like, almost. You rate the music and the program plays music that it has determined similar. You then rate that music and as time goes on the music is more and more to your liking...

Hmmm ... sounds good, I tried it the other day for a little while and it did seem to work, and that was only after I entered one group!
For me, unfortunately, most of the music I listen to reminds me of someone I have to put behind me, so I haven't listened to anything in particular over this last few weeks.
I can listen to some Christian worship music though, one of my favourites being Robin Mark who has produced some lovely live worship albums. He's based in Northern Ireland.

Yes, my Mom listened to all that "old" stuff.

I can remember growing up with her playing that music and doing the jitterbug. She was very good at it.

I've got an MP3 folder with almost 400 tunes of that "old stuff', as you call it...... Glenn Miller, Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Spike Jones, Vic Damone, Stan Kenton, Vaughn Monroe, and many more. This was my dad's favorite music that played often as I grew up, and I loved it, too.

It is old stuff, Jim...just like the music I grew up with is old stuff...the oldies but goodies. I used to watch all the old movies with all the band leaders when I was growing up. My father listened to opera and classical music. I guess you could say my music education was well rounded with everything I was exposed to. I like all types of music. I still enjoy hearing just about anything.

You probably didn't listen to this, however, which I was playing a few nights ago for my neighbor..... Solomon Linda & The Evening Birds - Mbube, the original song now known as Wimoweh, and/or The Lion Sleeps Tonight, from 1939.
BTW- my collection is now up to 18,710 tunes occupying 66½ gigs. The oldest song I have is Vess L. Ossman playing Whistling Rufus on his banjo, from 1899, recorded on a Consolidated Phono Co. cylinder. No, I don't have the cylinder, just an MP3 of the song and several others from that era.

Hi Webster...I don't have any of that music, but I still remember very fondly listening to it and watching all those Great Band Era movies. My ex husband's uncle played the Sax and played some of that stuff for us. He was very good. I think each generation of people has music that stands out and lasts though time.

I think I can just about get BBC Radio Kent from Hertfordshire
Talking of which, I purchased this natty little device over Christmas which you plug into your car stinkgarette lighter. You then plug a portable CD player / MP3 player / Walkman in, and tune it and your cr radio to the same FM frequency .... you can then listen to your MP3s on your car radio! Quite nice ... if you're going on a long drive somewhere (not a 'long long journey through the darkness' - those days are over (if anyone gets that)) you can set up a nice long playlist comprising of Trinití, Robin Mark, Mike Oldfield and other great artists and let that play until you reach your destination.
The device lets you set up three FM frequencies, so you find free spots and use those. But finding some spots is actually quite hard nowadays.
But anyway .... I'm not listening to any music right now but I do have Trinití's version of "Now We Are Free" on my mind .... interesting song that seems to be in Hebrew, but the jury's out on that one.
