I'm listening to a bunch of old SCSI hard disks shrieking right behind me in a Compaq server. I really need to move this thing from my office or get some ear protectors.

Well, not quite what I was thinking, unless of course you can buy that sound on a cd by an artist. Some music sounds, or they claim it to be music, just about the same as your SCSI disks. biggrin.gif

I can certainly record that for you if you wish Red and I can even charge you for it... Would that make me an artist? blink.gif
Marcia
If I buy it then yes, once you are making money on what you do, you are an artist. If you make one for me can you please sing along as well? I really like vocals better than instrumentals. Before I purchase this cd from you I think I better find out how much you are gonna charge me. biggrin.gif You may be too expensive for me......I work hard for my pennies and have to watch where they go. smile.gif Not that anything you record wouldn't be worth every single cent. smile.gif

ROFL @ Alfons - SCSI is so hard on the ear. lol.gif

I saw The Who on video recently and it blew me away. What a live band they were!

Currently addicted to Coldplay's "A Rush of Blood to the Head".

U2's live "Elevation" DVD has also being doing the rounds in this little apartment of mine. biggrin.gif

In the car, Andrea Bocelli's album Ciele de Toscana . At home,on the radio station I listen to they played Sergei Prokofiev and many orchestral numbers by Alexander Borodin in honor of his birthday, today (If he was still alive, he'd be 169 years old!).

now you're talking Lance, although I preferred Floodland to First Last & Always.

I'm not trying to rush things, but it's snowing , so I deemed it was time to play some Christmas music! I have on a lovely collection of Holiday Orchestral music--the Nutcracker is on at the moment. But also listening to Holiday Pops played by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
LinuxSam
I'm listening to the third album by Gregorian it is called "Masters Of Chant Chapter III"

I bought the CD a few days ago and was quite disapointed when I saw it was copy protected... despite that it was very easy to rip the tracks to OGG (an audioformat similar to mp3 but without licensing fees) and put them on my disk. So I'm currently listening to them from my computer...

Does this make me a criminal? Have I bypassed a copyprotection?

Maybe the copy protetction doesen't work in Linux... ;-)

No idea Sam... rolleyes.gif

Did someone mention "The Smiths"? Yeppers, it was the Lancester. Man, I thought that having any Smiths' album on your system was compulsory - like it didn't even need to be mentioned...

Favorite band of all time - despite the miserable Morrisey. biggrin.gif Johnny Marr rules.

How ironic that as I'm reading this, the Corr's 'Haste to the Wedding' is playing. I have an .m3u file shortcut that plays a huge variety of my favorite Celtic selections. smile.gif

I can't get that damned tune from "Bear in the big blue house" out of my head half the time. The rest of the time it's Winnie The Pooh or Maisy Mouse. The last one was hooked on Pinochio. That one rattled around in my head for 3 years....almost drove me nuts.
Carley
Today I have been listening to "Fantasies and Delusions" the new classical album by Billy Joel--very enjoyable--our son brought it with him this weekend.

Then in just a few minutes my favorite radio station starts out the new season of the Metropolitan Opera with "Fidelio" by Beethoven. So I'm tuned in and waiting for it to begin.

Once a week, under duress, I'm listening to Shania Twain (**gag**) during my Tap class. Certainly not my first choice in practice music. But the teacher is using some Christmas music now, and that's nice.
