Hi vip4bham, nice infections (rootkit included) you picked there !

Press Control-Alt-Del to enter the Task Manager.

Click on the Processes tab and end the following processes:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\Prgds.exe
C:\WINDOWS\dllmgr.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\Secrun.exe

Exit the Task Manager when finished.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Reboot into Safe Mode: please see here if you are not sure how to do this.

Set your system to show all files; see here if you're unsure how to do this.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:

C:\abs.exe
C:\WINDOWS\dllmgr.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\vcrt80.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\strap.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\Prgds.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\Secrun.exe

Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.

Next, take a look here: http://www.suggestafix.com/index.php?showtopic=33591

Follow the instructions and post the logs on your next reply.

I am running Windows XP. I tried Ctrl + Alt + del to bring up the task manager and I got an error message that said, "The task manager has been disabled by the administrator."

I went to users / security and I am listed as the administrator. How do I re-enable the task manager?
Ironbender
Skip this step, or, Boot to safe mode, run HJT, remove the entries and then, reboot as normal, run Ccleaner and mbam as advised.
