Hi all you great people , I have a new problem ,I have a Ge force fx 5500 GT gcard all my games run fine but flatout 2 (car game) , when i run the game it load's fine, I choose my profile load a track and start , now it load's the track so I can race ,and then it stops and gives me a error
( nv4-dsp has stopped responding reboot ) no oooxoxoo microsoft error codes pleas help

my pc specs
mb: asus p4 vpmx
cpu: 2.7 intel celeron socet 478
memory: 1x 512 1x 1024 kingston ram
gpu: Ge force FX5500 GT 256mem
psu: 400w ?
case: javelin gaming case

download new video drivers from nvidia.
uninstall video driversfrom add/remove programs, reboot, cancel the found new hardware box, reinstall video drivers.

I installed the latest drivers ,I even downloaded and installed xtream-g modifide nv drivers ,
in the baois I switch'd from T2 to T1 , changed memory from 333 to 400 , changed AGP speed from 8x to 4x to 2x still no luck , I will do a clean install of xp on a nother HDD and check ,

looks like you're proceeding in a good direction. disable the onboard video either in bios or device manager. run dxdiag from the run box and maybe install directx 9c from ms just to be sure it's proper.

Hi, I too had the same problem, in addition whats said here I also deleted some "ActiveX Files" and it seemed to do the trick.
Also, your Nv4 file can be corrupted or missing check system32 file. So if you downloaded the new drivers and you are still having the same problems do the latter. Oh, you can also download a new replacement Nv4 file just google it and make sure its virus free.
