I have a laptop. anytime i try to run a full screen program, only part of the screen is showable. Any help on how to fix this?, if not, how can I run Airline Tycoon in windowed mode?

Check your display settings and screen resolution, and hopefully some other member will give you more help as I told you in response to your PM.

it's because the game resolution is outside the monitor capabilities. check the game documentation for resolution settings and find one compatible with the game or how to run in windowed mode.

another thing...check the game website for updates.

The situation is that the game (or app) is designed for full screen display resolution and not widescreen display so like a widescreen movie does to an older styly television you end up with black in the areas that are not used. I use Hoyle Card Games and it does this on my laptop. It is simply the way it works. It also is designed to use the entire screen not to run in a window so i cannot offer you a usefull suggestion on that issue. As long as the application runs properly I usually leave it alone.

On a more positive not in some games there are display settings in the game options that can offer a different views (like widescreen) and resolutions, so make sure you have checked there.

There is no resolution settings in the game. Is there anybody that has my game? And if THEY know how to put it in windowed mode?

It is windows vista. I never applied any patches.
