Hi all
Have A ASUS M2V-MX SE, motherboard with Realtek onboard HD sound card
with def driver. NO microphone, Control panel is gray out.
anyone have A fix. OS is win 2K

38 meg will take about week on my slow dial up, sad.gif So I will take the laptop and find

well got it download, and removed the old driver also used the Driver Cleaner Pro, installed the
one you suggested. Sorry to say no change as can be seen in the photo, the control are gray out.
It looking like A new motherboard, As there no slots for a sound card, so hoping you have some
more suggestion

check under volume control\recording & playback properties that Microphone is selected.
microphone needs to be stereo plug/type.

stereo plug/type is what the realtek web site says.
tried to update bios?
that other thread has everything i would try.
