Hey hey,
I have a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop running on XP (quite old i think) and
also a BTHomeHub with wireless capabilities.
I recently bought a Buffalo USB wireless adaptor to connect my laptop
through the HomeHub's wireless (the hub is providing a desktop PC with broadband)
and it's all set up fine on my laptop, the adaptor is working and is picking up the wireless
signal and has connected to it fine.
The problem is that all of the internet connections already available on the laptop (theres a fair few;
Tiscali/MSN/BT etc) are dial-up ready connections, and so it wont connect to the internet via the wireless.
Do i need to install something or set a network up? Because all the networks/connections iv set up so far
have done nothing constructive whatsoever.
Help!

Hi YesIt'sMe, welcome to SAF

I'm not very skilled on this matter, but you can take a look here: 4 steps to set up your home wireless network

you'll need to use internet connection sharing between one of the desktops and the laptop and a wired connection between the 2 on a seperate lan. that means a wired network interface card on each computer to share the connection.
