What I want to do is put a game (NBA Live 06, a bit old I know but who cares) on my USB. It's so I can play it at school. We're not allowed to install games at school though, only play them off USB.
I was thinking just install it at home then copy all the files from the PC onto my USB. Will this work? What files would I have to take? Just the ones in program files?
Also, I don't really want everyone trying to copy it so they can play it. Is there a way I can make it so that they can't copy it off my USB or it won't work on theirs if they do?
(Yes you might tell me to just say 'NO' to them. It's not always that easy)
Thanks if anyone can help.

Hi,
Not all programs are 'portable' so I don't know if yours is. However if you scroll down to 'Games' in this link there are 120 or so fully portable games plus loads of other progs designed to be run from USB
http://www.portablefreeware.com/all.phpI hope this is of help?

Bindor,
Just try and copy the game (from C:\Program Files\EA?) to your USB stick. Recreate the same directory (folder) structure - so make a "Program Files" on your USB drive.
As Richard mentioned, some work, some don't. No harm in trying.
Some USB drives allow you to make it 'secure' - you will need to put a password in to be able to access the data. But that depends on your manufacturer and the model of your USB drive.
Normally it means formatting the drive and putting the manufacturer's software on it.
Good luck!
ronald.
