I am having trouble with my Brother HL-2040 Laser Printer. The paper light went on before the paper was out(there were about 10 sheets left). I have reset, refilled the paper tray, pressed the Ready button, rebooted my computer, all to no avail. The Paper light just won't go out. Any suggestions?

If the printer is working normally otherwise you need trained service; obviously the sensor that detects the paper load is either impeded or bad. Trace where the sensor is located, probably a spring-loaded trigger of some kind, and make sure that pieces of torn paper aren't jammed in there.
