Just got a new computer with vista installed. There are two HDs one for everyday stuff and the other is a scratch disk for photoshop. The problem is that the second HD is not showing up in either "computer" or when I try to set my preferences in photoshop. I can find it when I go to the device manager but I'm not shure how to make vista see it so that I can set it as the scratch disk. All advice appreciated.

Sounds like you may not have formatted it.

Click start,
right click computer,
Click manage,
The computer management console appears,
click disk management,
Right click an area of unpartitioned space on your new hard drive and choose format,
click ok.

Once done, the newly created volume will appear just like your normal disks.

Hope this helps.

Yes I think you may be right, I just got the computer yesterday and it was supposed to be all ready to go but they may have not formatted the drive. I'll try it myself.
Thank you.
