You should be able to find info from the "Help Central" link on the bottom of the page...

Have a feeling, backing up is your responsibility.

Just received an email from M.S.Hotmail support stating the following:-

............................................................................................................................................................

Thank you for writing to Windows Live Hotmail Technical Support. My name is Basi and I understand that you want to retrieve messages that had been in your account. I know how frustrating it is for you not to be able to read these messages.

I have checked your account in our Support Control Panel and tried to recover your lost messages. There may be a limitation to this solution. If the messages do not reappear after 72 hours, we regret that the restoration failed and we may no longer be able to recover your deleted messages.

We appreciate your understanding regarding this matter. Thank you for your continued support and as we strive to provide you with the highest quality service available.

............................................................................................................................................................

Fingers crossed!!!!

I will let the forum know the outcome.

Then get a real POP3 account so you can do your own backups....
