I have 80Gb hard drive with only C: partition contain 20GB data. I don't want to creat another partition with Partition Magic and just keep 1 partiontion only. Does Ghost can make an image and put it on my C: drive?

If your hard drive dies - it kind of defeats the purpose oh having an image...For about $35 USD, you can get another 80gig drive...

thank for fast answer. I just only ask about the technical purpose. Not for safe data storage. I got another 120 GB HD to backup too. But i just want to know we can do ghost if only 1 partion?

i guess the question is not whether a partition can be backed up to itself but rather whether it can be restored when the disk image resides on the partition to be restored. i seem to remember ghost won't backup to the same partition and i know acronis won't.
