When I tried to access programs that I had been using for years, suddenly I got the above message. I had deleted Zone Alarm prior to the problem and installed Sunbelt Personal Firewall. After I realized the situation, I deleted Sunbelt and restored Zone Alarm that I had used for years without problems. The situation improved considerably. However, I still get the message sporadically now.
The program that has the most problem is Incredimail e-mail program. The techs from Incredimail have been absolutely wonderful trying to fix the problem without success. They did everything with Incredimail from upgrading it to reinstalling it. You name it.They've tried it.
The programs this has happened to the most often are installed on my extra external hard drive F. The programs are primarily assigned to Drive F but they will also have some files placed on Drive C in order to function.
This problem is a new phenomenon. The programs had worked fine for months before this began happening.
What should I do? Please be simple, detailed and direct with your suggestions to me. Although I am much more knowledgeable with a computer than most of my peers, I am a 75 year old woman. Need I say more?
