Well, another late summer in FL is here.

Dino
How bad is it, and how are you guys holding up?
chrisjea
We are fine. Just supposed to rain and wind. The talking heads on TWC want you to think the rapture is at hand. Just the start of 2 long months though.

Glad you guys are fine; the way they show it on TV here makes you think that Florida is going to be the first state underwater. laugh.gif

Here around northeast Florida ---- we're over due for a big one but nothing serious has happened yet.
It did clean up some old branches and leaves but that's about all thus far.

When it rains, it pours. Stay dry buddy; or at least try. laugh.gif laugh.gif

Yep, our weekly diet of anticipation.

Hang in there, Moon.... they're getting closer all the time:

Hello Moon,

I am north of you 15 miles or so in J'ville. Retired from JEA (thank goodness). They sure are lined up out there.

Jim Holly, where is the site you found that picture?

Hope these things don't go and blow you off the map, or blow you underwater ..... Gustav has been in our news this past week, and fortunately that seemed to do less damage than they thought it was going to do.

That's from a program I have called Eye of the Storm by StarStone Software Systems.

Look out Louisiana! More may be coming....

Here's the latest on Ike.....

That's a nice looking program, Jim.

Since I have last been here, I have done two things (actually I've done more, but these two stand out). I've somehow misplaced my digital camera and I've become a seller on eBay. Some of you may remember that I wanted to start my own website. I still do, but I decided to give eBay a try because I've never sold anything on the Internet and I figured that I could learn something about selling by doing this. I will have to get my list of what I am going to sell and them get my inventory. I had thought of selling necklaces made from beads. I made them in high school and they were quite popular. Mama wore the one that I made for her many times before she gave it back to me last year before she went to assisted living. Speaking of Mama's going to assisted living, that was a surprise to me as well as to my brother and sis-in-law, but Mama said that she didn't want to live with either of us; she wanted a smaller place (she had three bedrooms, one and one half baths, a living room, a dining room, a den, a kitchen, and a laundry room off the kitchen). She decided herself to go to assisted living. She loves it there. The people are wonderful to her and all the others who live there. Re my mislaid digital camera--I know that it is in the house somewhere. I had put it in a drawer so I'd know where it was. Then, last year I took it out of the drawer and now I can't find the camera, but I know I didn't throw it out.

I hate it when I misplace something, and I KNOW exactly where it should be. But, one thing for sure, when you find it, it'll be in the last place you looked for it. laugh.gif

You are right jim. I worked getting rid of some of the clutter in my kitchen last night (I had one 33 gallon bag full). I found two boxes of Band-Aids and one tube of antiseptic. I have no idea when I bought that so I'll have to check the expiration date on it. I found two potholders and one partial roll of paper towels also. I eat out a lot right now because my range was all cluttered. (Still is, but you can see a clean place where I worked last night.
