Hello! New here.
Every time I try install Office 2007, I keep on getting this error:



I don't have a very good technical background when it comes to these things and don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

This is not an uncommon problem. This particular bug seems to appear randomly when installing some apps but not others which can be very frustrating. The only thing I have found is to start by removing any residual partial installation files of Office 2007, then taking the basic steps, such as:

>Enter START/Help and roll back with system restore to a point in time when you were having no issues with anything and the computer was running normally.
>IF you have an OEM or retail operating system disk of Windows XP, do a repair reinstall "over the top" thus preserving your data and programs. You cannot do this with a restore partition or restore disk.
>Try installing from Safe Mode; this may or may not work, but it won't hurt anything.
>Finally, post a Hijack This log just in case some kind of baddie is on your system. This is not likely if your system is running normally, but why not?
