Does anyone know of any software that you can use to scan your pc and delete data files that are duplicates?

Do you use Windows Vista? I downloaded a trial version and could not get any results with it. I am running Vista.

NO, I wouldn't have Vista on a bet. The program is rather old, so it probably won't run on Vista. I am using XP.

Be sure and do a complete backup so that you don't turn your pc into a boat anchor...Many duplicate files are necessary and shouldn't be deleted....Many dupe file finding programs can't tell you if they are needed or not..

[link removed] It is generally not a good idea to use any program to scan C:\ for duplicates, only scan the folders you use for your own files. As steve mentioned many duplicate files are system or program files that is needed by windows and other programs.
