Hello,
I have a problem while updating the excel in LAN (shared by many). In my system I have installed excel 2007, but the 1 in the LAN is excel 2003. So whenever i try to make changes in it and save , it gives error saying "sharing violation . Try to save it in a different file " . When I try to replace the existing file, then also it gives error because of read-only problem. Next time, when I close and open it again, it says the file is locked by me.. sad.gif .. Somebody plzz help me out in this BIG issue .... Thanks in advance .
Dino
There is a compatibility issue between Excel 2003 and 2007; besides, I see that you’re on a network and that’s why you’re getting this error message regarding file permissions. I suggest that you talk to your network administrator, or your IT department, before you do anything as you might affect other users on the network.
