A few weeks ago, pictures in my e-mails started appearing as just square, gray boxes. What is wrong?

With Outlook Express open, click on Tools, Options and then the Security tab, as shown below. Make sure the 'Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail' is unchecked.

Leona, in case you are not running OE, please provide us with:

Your Operating System (Windows or Mac) version and service pack (if applicable).
Your Email program (Outlook, Thunderbird, Web mail) and version (if applicable).

But hopefully the previous post helped you out and fixed your problem.

Just playing the odds, Ron. I've tried several of the different email programs over the years, and always come back to OE since it does everything I want it to.
