I was under the impression that M.S fixed this annoying proplem of Outlook not saving passwords with the release of Office 2003. I'm getting the pop up dialog asking to reenter password every time Outlook polls for new email. I've done the M.S. registry hack to no avail. Anyone remember how to fix this P.I.T.A.??

Thanks in advance.

The good news is that I've been using Outlook 2003 since it came out and never had the issue you are.

Migh try zapping the account and adding it back in.

Steve,

Thanks for the quick reply. Should have mentioned that I have deleted the account and re-added, no joy. Created a second account for my GMail (Primary account is SBC and I can check thru web mail fine) & that works perfectly. Uninstalled the Office Suite and reinstalled, no joy. That Da**** password is cached somewhere

I’m not sure if this would help, but try Tools, E-mail Accounts, View or change existing e-mail accounts, Change, and under Logon Information check the Remember password box.
