Suggest A Fix PC Support Forums > General Computing > Applications and Office Programs

Have one I can't find any information on. Was at my brother-in-law's computer today and noticed that when Word 2000 starts, it opens Document2.doc. I have never seen this happen on start-up. Although it is no major problem, does anyone have any ideas what is causing this, and how to repair it?

You can seek out and destroy the "hidden" file called Normal.dot which will get recreated next time you open Word...
