Looks like you pretty well got it together, you should have a nice setup there. For practical purposes you have replaced all the base components. My suggestion is to get a high joule surge protector to place between your wall socket and your power supply. It can save your bacon next time the lights go out in a storm.

The reason is 2500 joules compared to 10,000. Another reason is that most of these SP's are made in foreign countries with limited quality control, so the "cheepie discount" units sold in hardware stores and big box stores are of unknown quality.

Hey Guys thanks for the help! The computer is now rebuilt and I added the Antec 900 case. Looks good has 4 120 mm fans plus the zalman fan and I added another 2 gig bringing the total to 6Gig; a win-TV card; and a Blu ray DVD burner. Crazy but the 7900 GS KO nvidia card survived. ( am thinking about the ATI 4850 512MB card anybody like it?)

Thanks for the info the silver compound grease helped even though the zalman has a little tube with it.

i'd have a 4850 if i had the bucks. 3870 will have to do for now.
