I'm not sure if anybody was reading post from brwngirl or whatever but I have got the same virus and it does not seem to want to go away. In the middle of the monitor it says warning virus detected. and the program keeps popping up in the tray on the bottom status bar..it won't let me do anything.

Any help.

Please read this tutorial on using HijackThis and posting a log from it. If you have any problems using it in normal mode, try running it in safe mode following the instructions here.

What I did was update more Norton anti virus...ran a full system scan in safe mode because it kept crashing in regular mode, norton blocks all the of antivirxp08 but you still have to do a couple things to get your background back and your system restore to work.

You could also just follow the instructions on how to get system restore up and working again and then use a restore point on your computer before you got the virus.

Glad to hear you solved the problem. I'd still like to see a HijackThis log to see if there's anything further that needs to be done..
