I'm trying to make a movie and when ever I open movie maker or even just go to where I keep the files I get a pop-up that says,

COM Surrogate has stopped working.

I checked and it says maybe nero, which I do not have, or another program which I updated and and I still get it it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks I really appreciate it. Ended up trying everything one by one and, of course, it was the final solution that worked.
