I currently have Avira Anti Virus, asquared and Malwarebytes Anti Malware installed on my Vista machine. I have been experiencing some problems such as not being bable to openn any programs after an asquared automatic scan. Ive noticed while it is scanning it almost maxes out all four of my processors. My C drive reports 227GB of 288GB free. E drive is 256GB of 298GB free. Should the program really use that much power to run? It seems excessive to me and makes me wonder how a less powerful machine could even run it. Any of your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Uninstall a-squared and see if that solves your bottleneck problem; I don’t see much reviews for it on the net so I can’t give you a good or a bad opinion about it. Try to use Spybot Search and Destroy instead:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.htmlAs for the numerical values that you reported, these are the capacities of your C: and E: drives and have nothing to do with your current problem unless you meant something else.
