Try to go to the program folder and uninstall it from there:
C:\ Program Files\ iTunes
Good programs always come with an uninstaller that you should find in their installation directories.

Better programs do not need an uninstall since they put everything they need in their install directory, do not mess with the registry, and do not use shared DLLs. smile.gif

The Best programs do not run on Windows. wink.gif

Jacquid:
Check out this link to Apple's support website. Detailed information for iTunes removal. You did not mention what Operating System you're using so I assume XP. If it's Vista, here is the link for that.

Good luck!

What I meant is that there is an uninstaller that comes with these programs, and that you can find it in the installation directory of those programs. As for the best programs don't run on Windows, well, care to give me more explanation than a wink because I'm not good with sign language? laugh.gif laugh.gif

I was thinking along the lines of "Good", "Better", "Best" and taking a stab at all the (Microsoft brainwashed) software developers out there. And trying to avoid an OS flame war.

In my mind the best programs run on Linux/Unix - if well written they do not mess with a system, are completely user agnostic, and (in most cases) are open source so I can fix any bug I find.

Remember the good old DOS days where you didn't need to install a program, just copy it to a directory and you could run it? These days developers don't realize that the same can still be done today with any Windows OS. Keep your software paws out of the Registry, do not rely on shared DLLs, and you can write any application that just needs a single Folder to install to. You can then move the Folder to any location you want, even to another computer, and the app still runs.

Anyway... smile.gif Jacquid, did you get your iTunes uninstalled?

Good point and I’m sure that these developers know it too, but where is the money in that? In the good old days of DOS a lot of programs were efficient, but again, there is no money to be made out of that. The sole purpose of big software producers is to make profits, and unfortunately they have a huge share of the market along with ignorance on the side of most consumers about the existence and efficiency of the open source software. We don’t need all this bloated software, but that’s a side of capitalism that we have to deal with.
