I act as webmaster for a web site. I upload a mp3 audio file to the web server. I try to verify upload ok by using my vista machine. I get a message asking if I want to save the file it also says vista cannot open with the default program [machine set to open mp3 files with windows media player because the file is corupt]. If I go to another machine using windows xp the file opens in windows media player fine. I tried to open the file on two computers running xp and the file opened in media player with no problem. As I said, I have the default set on the vista machine set to open an mp3 file in windows media player - anyone know of something I could try to get get file to open?
