Ok so I have been using a wireless connection for two laptops in my house for a while and I have had no problems with their connections and stuff. and recently both of them within hours of eachother are not able to surf the internet. I am connected. i go through comcast and they have tried to reset my router for my tower. when I get onto the internet I am directed to this comcast page (it is split in two with a customer side and a technition side. It is like the one you get with you first get comcast.) Then It asks me to register my account. I go through these motions and it does nothing for me. then I have disconnected them from the regular router and tried connecting to a couple neighbors wireless connections and it does the same thing. HELP PLEASE:pull hair:

If you are running with the Windows configuration, I suggest that your settings are corrupted and must be reset properly. Check if Comcast will walk you through the proper settings. If you are using a separate card like D-Link or Linksys, then use their setup program to configure your connection. Most of them have an 800 number to call if you have problems. I know that D-Link has excellent support.

Either way, once you get online again with both machines, take a few minutes, go through every screen in the configuration panels and write down what the settings are. OR you can take screenshots of each page. This pays off in aces next time you have problems, because you will have a record of what the proper settings are.
