Well i just bought a new PC a month back and yesterday was using the Yahoo Messenger ,so thought about talking to my friend until i realised that my mic aint working ,although I'm able to listen all the songs I'm stuck up in this ,tried using the Sound Recorder but even that doesnt records anything ,Hope you folks can help me solve this problem ,Thanks
PS:The headphone was working on my older PC

Open your Volume Control, which will show the Playback controls. Now click on Options, then Record, and make sure Microphone is checked, and the volume is Selected and turned up.
