Full Version: How To Scan A Pic According To The Following Specs

Ok so i have a passport sized picture which i have to scan at the following specifications but i have no idea on how to:

Scanner resolution : 150 dpi
Image file format : JPEG
Image file size : less than 62kb
Image resolution : 300 by 300 pixels
Image color depth : 24 bit color

Please help me someone

Food for thought -> The majority of offices that accept passport applications will take the picture for you for a small fee.

I have the passport pictures with me already

I now need to scan it according to the following specifications

Depends on your scanner software (Twain). My Epson allows me to specify all of the above values.

the thing is i do not own a scanner and all my friends have an hp with no such function
is there any alternative?

If you have a legit/store bought/correct size passport picture(s) you shouldn't have to do anything except attach them to your application.

scan the image at 150 dpi any size larger than 300x300. open the image in an image editor (irfanview is free and excellent software), resize and/or crop the image to the required size.
