Hello,
I am hoping someone here can help me! I am getting a new computer system and wanted to look at all of my old iomega 100 mb backup (word, pictures, etc.) so I can transfer them to a jump drive since I will no longer use my iomega external drive. I am currently using windows XP. The iomega is plugged to the back of my tower with the old fashioned SCSI connectors.
Both the green and orange lights are permanently on confused.gif . I insert a disc and I can not eject it nor can I read it. When I check the drive it’s in in my computer it shows as being in the H drive but when I double click on the drive I receive a message: H:\is not accessible. The device is not connected.
Please is their anyone out there that can help me access the drive so I can get to all of my back ups? I have tried everything I know how to do with no success at all. When I insert the disc it doesn’t even make a sound.
Thank you so much.

Hi Moon!
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

I like to remove drivers in safe mode!!

With all devices dis-connected, uninstall same from add'remove.......... and boot ---then re-install it's drivers and don't plug it in untill it said to or it's finished with the driver install.

A reboot might even be ness. depending on which XP SP update your running.

Does the drive give a distinct "click" sound when you try to access it?
