Hi,

I'm new to the group but in seeking information it looked like a great place to be. My roommate has a Dell lattitude lap top that she didn't completely shut down when she closed it. Two days later when she opened it she had green horizontal bar codes across her screen. Two of them initially but if you go up or down on the screen more show up. I've run tons of system scans and virus checks but that is the limit of my knowledge. Any idea how I can help her?

Foolish question but have you tried restarting the system? Sounds hardware related though. Do the lines show up during boot up, once windows is started? Or only during certain programs.

Once we have an idea where the problem lies I can put you in the best group to get help.
