I have a video that was created in Windows Movie Maker that was encoded as a DV AVI. The video uses up exactly 5.16 GB. I want to be able to reduce the video size so that it can fit on a 4.7 GB DVD. I have tried many programs such as Virtual Dub and I used Nero. But it wasnt working. Is there any free software I could use to help me exceed my goals. Please guide me through this process. I will be encoding using the Divx Codec because in my opinion that is the best quality.

Why do I only get 5 views when everyone else gets 100+

you answered your own question g'slammer. divx codec pack has a conversion utility along with the codec. the freeware one has adware and the pay for one has lots of call home software for drm. best to get something like Quick Media Converter v3.5.7. it's a good one. next time try googling for free video converters

And...The newer DVD drives are DUAL Layer....Combined with a dual layer dvd, you can double the 4.7 gigs...
