I am trying to connect my laptop (linksys wireless card) to my wireless router (linksys). I was able to connect at one time, but recently have had problems. The wireless card recognizes the router and looks to have a good signal, but will not connect to it.

Hey there,

Have you tried to open the properties of the wireless card on your laptop to see if it can find your router? Do you have a name for you router ( not that I want to know it )

Is windows responsible for running your wireless connections look at Start>> control panel> Network connections and see if you can open your wireless connections and do a search from there to find your router.

mainly routers IP's are 192.168.1.1 or 0.0 something similar to that

You can get a DOS box up by clicking on Start > Run and typing cmd and hit the enter key and then type ipconfig /all and this will show you what your wireless cards IP is versus your routers if any.

Hope this helps
