I am total beginer using Premiere Pro CS3. I do however, have very good experience of Windows Movie Maker and had, foolishly (as it turns out smile.gif ), thought some of that knowledge was transferable learning this new tool. Sadly it appears not. I've bought the book Visual Quickpro Guide Premiere Pro CS3 by Antony Bolante, but although clearly set out, the book assumes a level of knowledge I don't yet have.

Can anyone recommend a good tutorial, or book on Premiere Pro CS3 aimed at complete beginers like me. Like I said, I've made some visually advanced films using WMM but this is a complete new ball game, so any help at all would be much appreciated. And or any useful tips, perhaps even on where there is some overlap would be very useful too.

Thanks very much banghead.gif

Free tutorials are all over the web.

If you are looking for something more serious and have the money left after buying something from Adobe (good stuff but as always expensive), http://www.totaltraining.com is my favorite for start to finish training. Another is http://www.lynda.com/ Similar in function but not my personal preference.

If you are buying a book always ensure that it states that it is for beginners. Also check for reviews on the book as often the lack of beginner's resources will be commented on somewhere on the web.

More than that I cannot say as I've only just started with Premiere myself in the last week. Thus far I've only used Movie Maker successfully.
