My brother can always check when the last time the pc was turned on or switched off and even when he went to screensaver

how can you see this?

its not a special program

and can you delete the information?
Dan Penny
Just check the Properties of files associated with those functions. For example, C:\IO.SYS. It will tell you when it was last accessed. (ie; machine booted. See attached pic.)

There are ways to "clear" these things, but it sounds like it's your brothers machine, and assisting you to do this would be unethical.

how do i open this file trough run , and waht program do you have to select
Dan Penny
You don't. It's a system file and is used to boot the machine and start Windows. You don't "run it" from Start, Run.

If you mess with it, and corrupt it somehow, you may be looking at a Windows reinstall. Somehow I think your brother would frown on that.

It appears that you're trying to find ways to "cover your tracks" on someone else's machine. You should read the Forum Rules about what can be asked here, and what members are allowed to post as far as replies go. I'm a Moderator on two Help Forums and threads like this are questionable. If I had the authority on this forum to close this thread, I probably would if you pursue this.
