Hello,

I haven't found this problem elsewhere, so wondered if you might have a solution.

I have HP CPU and HP Printer; using HP ink cartridges (new printer Photosmart D 7460) and Kodak EasyShare program or ACDSee program for printing photos; using Kodak Ultimate paper or HP best quality paper for photos.

When I try to print in greyscale or Black and White, they print as a muddy or a slight red tint. Very ugly looking; not the crisp, clear photos one wants.

Is there a solution to this problem? confused.gif

Thank you,
Betty

Are you setting the image to greyscale in the viewing program? Try setting your printer preferences to black & white or 'black ink only' and it should come out the way you want.

It has been set on greyscale, but I will try the black ink cartridge only and see what happens. Will let you know! Thanks for your reply to my problem.
