I have an FLV file, and I cant play with either VLC player or FLV player. I've tried this on my other laptops, and it works fine. Is it possible that my processor is too slow?

Whenever i play the video file, the image gets wavy. Any thoughts?

thanx in advance,
Jerry

1) associate the FLV files to the player !

2) what video chip processor card w/how much mem are you running?

I'm not sure how to get the type of video card, i've tried looking under device manager, display adapters, and this is what it said:

Trident Video Accelerator Cyberblade XP Ai1 v6.4020.22ICD

I've tried associating the file with both programs and no good results, the video image freezes. Audio is fine.

huh? download link is down.

I've tried upgrading memory, i added another 250MB. I've noticed my laptop shuts down after a few minutes. It does not let me scan with mcafee and if it does, it's incredibly slow. There's times where i let it scan, and while it's halfway done it shuts down. I''ve tried doing this through both safe and normal mode. MS Security updates also start to update, and it starts installing SP 2 but the pc shuts down halfway also.

Is there any way anyone could help me diagnose my laptop? I've noticed the laptop started shutting down after the memory upgrade. I then removed the memory module and it still reads the new module. Shouldn't it read the previous amount of memory again? Is there something i needed to upgrade before the update, like the BIOS?

It sounds like any kind of a quick fix isn't likely, I think your in for a repair install, do you have you XP CD with sp2 available?

Hi Jerry,

There is no problem with your hardware specs and FLV file since you can play the video on other laptops.
Try to free up some memories since maybe your computer taken a lot or process or memory resources.

There is a software that free up RAM memory which speed up your PC.

This might help to resolve your current problem.
