Hi new to this site-looks good.

I have just bought a slot-A 1ghz amd athlon thunderbird cpu and only now ive realised it isnt supposed to work in a motherboard with a KX133 chipset.
I tried putting it in and it got to the bios page but froze on checking ram-usually the digits count.
My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA7VX with a VIA KX133 chipset and 512MB of PC100 RAM.

The question is:
Is there any way in the world of tweaking/modifying my motherboard or cpu to get it to work.
I saw on one site a reference to a soldering method but havent managed to find anything more on it.
