Hi. I have a problem with my Microsoft Word 2000 software. Somehow I have screwed up this software in that

when I open the MW 2000 software to a new word processing page, I don't get a new, clean word processing

page, I always get one that I previously made and I also get a small window notice that states that it is locked

for editing by me and the window gives me a choice of "read only" , "notify" or "cancel". This happens also

whenever I open any previously made MW 2000 word-processing file. How do I get out of or undo this "locked

for editing" situation so I can use my MW 2000 as I previously did? Thanks for your help.

Seek out and destroy/delete the hidden file called Normal.dot . It's the defualt template that'll get re-created next time you open Word.
