Ok so I don't know if any of you are familiar with rocketdock but none the less... I was simply trying to drag my videos folder onto the dock to create a shortcut to it, but I didn't realize I had the dock locked. So nothing happened, except the folder completely disappeared, it's not in the recycle bin and I couldn't find it through search; anybody have any idea?

reset your defrag to run when nothing is downloading.... like a patch or what ever.

run chkdsk, it will recover the files.

I ran chkdsk, the folder is still missing. I'm not sure what you meant about defrag.

Hold Windows Logo Key + F

The search window will appear, click Advanced Search and tick the check box labeled "Include non-indexed, hidden, and system files (might be slow)"

Now search for the files again.
