Ok I'm baffled.

I go to download, even off my own site, it "looks" like it downloads, but yet it creates no icons or shortcuts on my computer.

I go to recent items it shows that there are recent downloads, but it cant find them.

I've tried restore points. I've tried to restore IE to original condition. I've cleared out all cache, cookies, etc... To no avail.

I'm still showing ZILCH for a download, no matter what site or what download it is.

I would appreciate any help anyone could offer.

Click start,

Click your user name,

Double click Downloads.

Any luck?



If not, you say that they appear in the recent items list, go there, right click on an item and click "Open File Location"

Also, try searching for the file name of the download on your hardrive.

This way we can work out if they really aren't downloading or whether they're just in an odd location, (remember that when you download, you can choose where you want it to save on your hard drive)

If they are really not downloading:

Have you ever seen downloads working on this computer;
Is the computer yours or part of a large network? (i.e. in a school or company?)
Have you installed or uninstalled any software recently?
