Full Version: Running Ubuntu On Virtual Pc

I have installed Microsoft Virtual PC on my Dell Ladtitide D620 laptop, which has a T2300 chip @ 1.66GHz and 1 GB of RAM. On the Virtual PC, I loaded Ubuntu 7.04. I see it getting installed on the virutal pc, but after it is done installing, I just see a blank screen. No desktop or anything comes up. I even selected install or update virtual machine additions and still no luck. Has anyone been able to load Ubuankntu on Virtual PC? Thanks

Hi there, YES ubuntu will work with Virtual PC smoothly and seamlessly.

Have you tested the version of Ubuntu anywhere else - there may be problem with the installer itself.

Another possibility is the way you installed Ubuntu. Take a look at this post I found on the web:
