If your settings for Outlook have greyed out the Always ask on opening, so that each time you try to open at attachment you have to elect, yes, no, or cancel, there is an easy fix. Reboot entering the safe mode (F-8) and under your user name open Outllook. Find the attachments you want to open automatically and uncheck the box "Always ask on opening" When you restart normally the files should open automatically.
